For those looking to build their own solar or wind power system, one question that many have is how do I get inexpensive batteries to store power?

When you need extra energy it will be pulled from the power grid. On days where your alternative energy system produces more power than you need, the additional energy is fed back to the grid and sold back to the power company. For many people this is the easiest, and least expensive, way to install their green power solution.
Where you may want a battery bank is if you plan to live off the grid, or in cases where you want to store power in case of a power outage. In either of these cases you will need a battery bank.

learned soooooooo much from your book. We are making panels and it is unbelieveable how easy they are to make. We are planning on turning our green house solar as well as our house. So far we have made our RV completely solar but we spent a pretty penny on a battery bank. Learning how to recondition batteries is going to be super. I know this is a business to you but…may I say God Bless You for getting this information out.
